Italian Sausage Marinade

This recipe is appropriate to marinade an entire block of Tempeh (250grams)


1. In a bowl combine the following:

1 tsp Fennel Seed, whole

1 tsp Basil, dried

1 tsp Oregano, dried

1 Tbsp Soy Sauce/Tamari

1/2 tsp Liquid Smoke

1 tsp Maple Syrup

1 tsp Garlic Powder

1 Tbsp Olive Oil

1/2 tsp Onion Powder

1/2 tsp Chili Powder

1/2 tsp Sweet Paprika

3 tsp Water

Salt and pepper to taste

2. Cut Tempeh into desired shape or form and rub with marinade. Allow to sit for approximately 30mins to one hour.

3. Pan fry, bake or grill!

This marinated tempeh could be served as the star protein of any dish, tossed with pasta, baked on pizza, skewered with vegetables, crumbled on top of a salad, in a sandwich, or served on a charcuterie plate.
